Abstract
The photoreduction of methylviologen by NADH with the complex of R-Phy coeritrin-XRITC 9-(2-carboxy-4-iso thiocyanatophenyl)-1H-xanteno 2,3,4 ,-1,j:5,6,7-i,j diquinolizidine) as photosensitizer is investigated. I t is shown that there is an efficient energy transfer in the R-phycoer itrin-XRITC complex and the reduction rate of methylviologen is 8 line s greater than that of the only dye XRITC used as photosensitizer.
