Ym. Sivolap et Sv. Chebotar, RDNA VARIABILITY IN SOME TRITICEAE AND TH E FORMS OF TRITICUM-AESTIVUM OBTAINED BY WILD HYBRIDIZATION, Genetika, 29(12), 1993, pp. 2039-2050
The variability of rDNA in genomes of some species of Triticum and Aeg
ilops used in breeding programmes for wheat improvement was studied. A
lso, the forms of T. aestivum obtained by hybridization and Aegilops c
ylindrica served as the objects of interest. The genetic distances wer
e defined between some Triticum and Aegilops species, inside the A. ta
usehii and A. cylindrica.populations, and between different cultivars
and forms as a result of wild hybridization in T. aestivum. The extent
of genetic divergence was evaluated and the schemes (trees) for genet
ic relationship in the forms studied was constructed.
