Abstract
This paper reviews recent efforts at the S. I. Vavilov State Optical I nstitute in the area of analytical microscopy. It gives a brief descri ption of a standardized microspectrometer, stereoscopic microattachmen ts to a Raman spectrometer, a television microimage analyzer, a lumine scence microvideo analyzer of DNA fragments, and a multiparameter flow -through cytometer. Some examples of the use of this equipment in the area of biology, medicine, and mineralogy are also given.
