Abstract
2-Diphenylmethylsilylethyl (DPSE) is a new protecting group for the in ternucleotidic bonds in the synthesis of deoxyribooligonucleotides by the phosphoramidite approach. This group is stable to acidic condition s and can be removed under mild conditions using aqueous ammonium hydr oxide.
