Abstract
In the early 1960s, Viktor Mikhailovich Glushkov directed a research p rogram at the Institute of Cybernetics of the Ukrainian Academy of Sci ences that focused on increasing the level of machine intelligence. Ou r paper presents the latest results obtained by the authors in one of the most important subdivisions of this research.
