LEIOMYOSARCOMA OF THE URINARY-BLADDER - C ASE-REPORT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

Leiomyosarcoma ist the most common mesenchymal malignant tumor of the urinary bladder in adults. 91 cases have been reported so far. We pres ent an additional case of a 77-year-old woman without any previous uro logic or oncologic illness who was diagnosed to suffer from a giant le iomysarcoma filling the whole bladder. Diagnosis, treatment and progno sis of this rare malignancy is discussed on the basis of a literature review.
