Abstract
Commercial samples of Mytilus edulis were extracted using a Likens-Nic kerson extractor and analyzed by gas chromatography and combined gas c hromatography-mass spectrometry allowing characterization of 33 compon ents. The method is suited for the study of fluxes of volatile compoun ds including environmental contaminants in the sea.
