Abstract
The present review includes a thorough morphological study of the pedi cles of lumbar vertebrae. After a detailed description of the pedicles , their dimensions (transverse and vertical diameters, pediculo-corpor eal length), their orientation and structure are studied. These differ ent factors allow a better understanding of new orthopedic surgical te chniques of the lumbar spine.
