QUALITY ASSURANCE OF COMPONENTS OF THE PL ANNED KONRAD REPOSITORY

As for a nuclear power plant, quality assurance (QA) of structures, sy stems and components is also important for a repository for the dispos al of radioactive waste. Based on a comprehensive safety assessment, t he technical concept has to be evaluated in a first step. The results of the evaluations can be used for the classification of structures, s ystems and components into various QA areas. Kind and amount of necess ary documents depend on the safety relevance. This general procedure i s described for the planned repository Konrad.
