CONCEPT FOR EXTERNAL QUALITY-CONTROL IN A NESTHESIOLOGY IN HAMBURG

In paragraph 137 of the SGB V (Code of Social Law V) the law-makers ha ve directed that all care-providing hospitals have to participate in e xternal quality control measures. In order to implement this external quality control measure in the field of anaesthesiology, the Board of Trustees for External Quality Control in Hamburg has appointed a panel of experts whose responsibility it is to establish the professional a nd organisational basis for this measure. In its work, the panel of ex perts draws extensively on the previous efforts made by the DGAI (Germ an Association for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine).
