Abstract
An anlytical expression is derived for the rate of entropy production in a heat regenerator. It is then proved that this rate vanishes at th e limit of an infinite heat transfer coefficient. For a finite transfe r coefficient, the profile of the rate of entropy production has a bel l-shape profile.
