PERSISTENT MULLERIAN DUCT SYNDROME - REPORTS OF 2 CASES

Persistent mullerian duct syndrome is a rare form of pseudohermaphrodi tism, in which well developed mullerian structures are present in an o therwise normal male, possibly resulting from absence of mullerian duc t inhibiting factor. Two cases of the syndrome are presented. The diag nosis, as in most cases, was confirmed at herniorrhaphy or exploration for undescended testis.
