The a uthors measured luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol, and progesterone in 13 women with bulimia nervosa who were at normal weight and six nor mal comparison subjects. They found that the women with bulimia nervos a were likely to have abnormal 24-hour luteinizing hormone (LH) secret ion if their current weight was less than 85% of their past high weigh t.
