M. Natarajan et S. Krishnamoorthy, STUDIES ON P-CRESOL-FORMALDEHYDE CATIONIC RESINS SUBSTITUTED BY COCONUT SHELL CHARCOAL, Research and Industry, 38(4), 1993, pp. 278-281
Para-Cresol-formaldehyde cationic resins partially substituted by sulp
honated coconut shell charcoal were prepared. Physical measurements li
ke absolute densities, swelling measurements, attritional breaking and
exchange capacity studies were made. The ion exchange capacity of pur
e sulphonated coconut shell charcoal is greater than that of pure resi
n. For chemical systems requiring ion exchangers of small exchange cap
acity, such inexpensive ion exchangers can be used.
