northern climate and is usually justified by a short payback period.
This article compares the advantages and disadvantages of nine differe
nt heat recovery arrangements and discusses why a certain arrangement
might be best suited for a particular application. Payback is not alwa
ys the best way to justify a heat recovery system and the advantages o
f long-term cost reductions should always be considered as well as ini
tial short-term payback.
