Abstract
The analysis of polychloro-p-dibenzodioxins (PCDD) and polychlorodiben zofurans (PCDF) on a new non-polar column, DB-5ms, is reported. This n ew 5% phenyl column exhibits identical inertness, sensitivity, stabili ty and capacity to DB-5 for PCDD and PCDF but provides better separati on for some toxic 2,3,7,8 substituted congeners. Linear response for l abelled and unlabelled toxic congeners is easily obtained over the ran ge from 0.5 pg to 200 ng for 2,3,7,8-TCDD.
