Conductor drag coefficients are computed using large eddy simulation.
A hybrid procedure in which the finite difference method is used to in
tegrate the momentum equation and the finite element method to integra
te the pressure equation is utilized in a nonorthogonal grid system. T
he pressure equation is solved using an efficient preconditioned conju
gate procedure. The computed results are in good agreement with field
results.
