Abstract
Performance of structures under wind actions is analysed by the penalt y hybrid/mixed finite element method. A practical CAD system is also d eveloped for the computation of aerostatic coefficients. Numerical stu dies on model bridges are conducted; the results being compared with e xisting numerical and experimental data acquired in wind-tunnel tests.
