Abstract
Characteristics of mean wind pressure and peak wind pressure on the lo ng low-rise buildings with gable roof are examined in this study. The source of wind direction to decide the design value might not necessar ily be alpha=0-degrees, because large negative value of mean wind pres sure and peak wind pressure is generated on the leeward surface for al pha=45-degrees. In the visualization test, it is confirmed that the ma in sources of the large negative value are the vortices generated on t he leeward side of the building.
