Abstract
The monosilylated acyclic phosphazene ligand Me(3)SiNP(NMe(2))(2)NP(NM e(2))(2) NH2 (3) has been synthesized and characterized. The reaction of 3 with antimony triacetate, Sb(OOCMe)(3), in refluxing toluene form s a cyclic phosphazene derivative, [N{P(NMe(2))(2)NH}Sb-2(OOCMe)(2)] ( 4), which is characterized by elemental analyses, mass, IR and NMR spe ctroscopy and single-crystal X-ray structural analysis. Complex 4 crys tallizes in the form of a cis and trans isomeric chain in the solid st ate.
