A REVISION OF CYLINULA AND 2 NEW SPECIES OF CYLINDROPSYLLUS (COPEPODA, HARPACTICOIDA, CYLINDROPSYLLIDAE)

Males of two new species of Cylindropsyllus Brady, 1880 (Cylindropsyll idae) are described. Cylindropsyllus ibericus sp. n. is based on a sin gle specimen from Portugal previously misidentified as C. laevis Brady , 1880; C. govaerei sp. n. is reported from Corsican shell-gravel. The boreo-mediterranean distribution of C. laevis is confirmed and a key to the species of Cylindropsyllus is presented. Redescriptions are pro vided for the two species of Cylinula Coull, 197 1, the type species C . proxima Coull, 1971 and C. arganoi Cottarelli and Venanzetti, 1989. The relationships of Cylindropsyllus, Cylinula and Evansula Sars, 1909 are briefly discussed.
