A systematic experimental study of the rotational-state dependence of
the HF-Ar interaction by light-induced drift is reported. Measurements
have been performed in the P-branch of the fundamental vibrational ba
nd of HF (v = 0 --> 1, J --> J - 1) for J = 1 - 7. A strong rotational
-state dependence is observed.
