Abstract
2,3-Dimethyl-4,6-diphenylquinoline is an initiating quinoline derivati ve with a UV absorbance wavelength longer than that of 2,3-dimethyl-4- phenylquinoline. Therefore, Light-induced solution polymerizations of methyl methacrylate in the presence of the hydrogen donator bis(2-etho xyethyl) ether result in increasing overall polymerization rates by us ing this new UV initiator system.
