Abstract
Thermodynamic properties of polypentene-1: specific heat C-p(0) at 9-5 00 K, thermodynamic parameters of melting, glass transition, character istics of the glassy state, and combustion heat were studied by calori metry. On die base of our data and the published data, the thermodynam ic functions H-0(T) - H-0(0), S0(T), and G0(T) - H-0(0) of the polymer in crystalline, glassy, elastic, and liquid states in the range 0 - 5 00 K were calculated as well as combustion enthalpy DELTAH-c(0), and t hermochemical formation parameters DELTAH-f(0), DELTAS-f(0), and DELTA G-f(0) at T = 298.15 K and p = 101.325 kPa. Enthalpies, entropies, and Gibbs functions of the polymerization of pentene-1 and monomer-isomer ization polymerization in bulk cis- and trans-pentene-2 were calculate d in the range 0 - 500 K. Upper limits for the temperatures of polymer ization for pentene- 1, cis-, and trans-pentene-2 are estimated.
