Abstract
In-reactor measurements of the spontaneous and long-term change in ele ctrical conductivity of alpha-alumina were carried out in the JMTR fis sion reactor. The so-called radiation-induced conductivity, RIC, was o bserved and evaluated qualitatively as well as quantitatively. A long- term increase in electrical conductivity was observed, which is though t to be due to the so-called radiation-induced electrical degradation, RIED.
