Abstract
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are estimated to be exc essively prescribed. We have prospectively collected all drug prescrip tions written by 50 doctors in an Outpatient Service, during a 5-day p eriod. The purpose of this study was to draw the outline of NSAID pres criptors. Junior doctors (66%) wrote more controversial NSAID prescrip tions (66%) than other doctors.
