Abstract
Thyroid hormones, TSH and antithyroid antibodies were prospectively co ntrolled in 116 patients treated with amiodarone. Hypothyroidism occur red in 4 patients (3.7%) mainly early (average = 6 months). Hyperthyro idism was seen among 13 patients (11.9%) and its prevalence was propor tional to therapy duration.
