Abstract
A review of 17 consecutive patients in whom deep venous thrombosis of the upper extremity had developped was conducted. The major causes ide ntified were related to thoracic outlet syndrome and venous catherizat ion. Venogram was necessary for the diagnosis in two patients. No pulm onary embolization occured. Thirteen patients were treated by low-mole cular-weight-heparin complication.
