Sl. Singer et al., HEREDITARY GINGIVAL FIBROMATOSIS WITH A RECESSIVE MODE OF INHERITANCE- CASE-REPORTS, Australian dental journal, 38(6), 1993, pp. 427-432
Hereditary gingival fibromatosis is characterized by varying degrees o
f attached gingival hyperplasia and may in rare cases present as a fea
ture of a generalized syndrome. It is usually inherited as an autosoma
l dominant condition though recessive forms are described. The dental
and genetic features of an affected brother and sister with a probably
unique autosomal recessive hereditary fibromatosis syndrome are prese
nted.
