Using a combination of histogram techniques and sophisticated Monte Ca
rlo simulation algorithms, we have intestigated the critical behavior
of the d=3 simple cubic Ising model. From the finite size behavior of
multiple thermodynamic quantities, we determined the critical properit
es with a precision comparable to that obtainable by any other current
approach; our best estimate of the critical coupling is K-c=0.2216595
+/-0.0000026. We also discuss the problems which can arise at this lev
el of resolution.
