Abstract
We present a two-dimensional time dependent collocation Chebyshev spec tral method as a tool for the solution of certain astrophysical flows. In this paper, we solve the Navier-Stokes equations in spherical coor dinates. The problem of the propagation of an initial perturbation in an atmosphere of a compact star is used to demonstrate the method and its power. In particular, viscosity and rotation are included.
