Abstract
A papillomavirus-like infection in canaries (Serinus canarius) is desc ribed. Papillomatous epithelial proliferations were observed at the co mmissure of the beak and on the head. Histologically, stratified squam ous epithelium covered with a hyperkeratotic layer and intranuclear in clusions were observed. Electron microscopically, intranuclear aggrega tes of papilloma-like virus particles were demonstrated.
