Abstract
In recent years new methods of non-pharmacological therapy of ventricu lar tachyarrhythmias have gained increasing importance. The developmen t of implantable defibrillators and increasing experience with cathete r ablation techniques represent important alternatives to pharmacologi cal antiarrhythmic therapy which is presently employed only in a subgr oup of patients with life-threatening tachyarrhythmias and coronary he art disease.
