Abstract
Steroidal beta-fluoro-alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones are prepared by r eaction of the corresponding phenyl vinyl sulfides with N-bromosuccini mide / HF or N-bromosuccinimide / DAST in dichloromethane in 50 - 70% yield.
