LABELLUM MICROMORPHOLOGY IN THE OPHRYS-BERTOLONII AGG AND SOME RELATED TAXA (ORCHIDACEAE)

Micromorphology and distribution of trichomes in six taxa of the Ophry s bertolonii aggregate (O. bertolonii, O. bertoloniiformis, O. benacen sis, O. aurelia, O. drumana, O. catalaunica) are described. A fairly g ood homogeneity between all the taxa, with a moderate degree of variab ility even within the same taxon, has been observed. Comparison of the se characters with those of O. promontorii and O. garganica corroborat es the inclusion of the former species into the O. sphegodes aggregate . Trichome analysis of a hybrid is exemplified by O. x chiesesica (O. drumana x O. fuciflora).
