Abstract
Polymers containing photodegradable hexaarylbiimidazole functionality have been prepared. The photolysis products of these materials are use d to oxidize nonplasticizers to plasticizers. The combination of polym er photodegradation and plasticizer formation results in the reduction of the formulation Tg and increased solubility. Compositions employin g this technology have potential application as negative tonable and/o r positive washout systems.
