Histologic specimens of the bone marrow were obtained from healthy sub
jects and aplastic anemia (AA) ones. Comparison of the histomorphometr
y was indicative of an increase in spongy bone tissue arid iri the num
ber of osteoid cells in AA. This indirectly suggested enhanced prolife
rative activity of osteogenic precursors and osteosynthesis in AA. Int
errelationship is probable between osteogenesis and hemopoiesis.
