A field trial was conducted to assess the value of a pulse dosing trea
tment of the tiamuline-oxytetracycline association in a pig herd where
was identified an enzootic pneumonia with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. P
ulse-dosing treatment with tiamuline (40 ppm) and oxytetracycline (300
ppm) two days per week in fattening unit allowed to control acute pne
umonia identified two months after the beginning of fattening period.
No antibiotic residue was dosed in the meat 4 days after the end of th
e treatment.
