Abstract
This paper discusses potential sources of static electricity in chemic al manufacturing operations and proposes practical methods for remedia tion to prevent fire and personal injury, It discusses the probabiliti es of static electricity ignition in Division 1 versus Division 2 loca tions and makes recommendations for controlling static electricity in each location.
