Abstract
The activity of sodium-potassium ATPase was assessed in erythrocytes f rom calves of both sexes with either low or high pedigree indices for milk yield. Animals were sampled in both fasted and fed states, and en zyme activity was determined in minimal essential medium +/- fetal cal f serum. Genotype did not influence enzyme activity, but effects of se x, feeding level and incubation medium were observed.
