Abstract
The integration of a SCADA system consisting of different interlacing hardware devices from various vendors under a single application contr ol program is described. It is implemented through a concept of adapti ve configuration files for logical-physical address mapping and the ge neralization of addressing scheme and command messages. The approach i s therefore a model solution for similar multivendor problems encounte red in manufacturing process automation at its elementary level.
