Abstract
The influence of the synthesis parameters on poly(acrylonitrile-co-dim ethacrylate esters) copolymers of gel, or porous type structures, has been studied. The porous beads possess good mechanical strength, low s pecific surface area (S < 20.0 m(2)/g), good apparent densities (d(ap) = 0.4000-0.5000 g/mL), and consequently very large pores.
