Abstract
DRAs offer good radiation characteristics at room temperature, but the ir performance at low temperatures has not been studied yet. A cylindr ical DRA is experimentally investigated at room temperature (300 K) an d in liquid nitrogen (77 K). The experimental results indicate a sligh tly improved performance at 77 K, denoting the suitability of DRAs for satellite antenna applications. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
