Abstract
This paper presents the principal results of work at the S. I. Vavilov State Optical Institute on the manufacture of fluoride and leucosapph ire single crystals, active laser crystals, and nonlinear and scintill ation single crystals, as well as on optical ceramic obtained by recry stallization pressing and zinc and cadmium chalcogenide polycrystals g rown by the PVD, CVD, and MOCVD methods.
