Abstract
Territory of Saxonia was free from brucellosis of cattle two decades. Four outbreaks were founded in 1993 and 3 from them were initiated in all probability by import of living cattle. The long time of incubatio n period and its dependence on reproductive cycle in herds are remarka ble. Effective measures for control of trade in animals are necessary.
