J. Vrestal et J. Tomiska, A KNUDSEN CELL MONOPOL MASS-SPECTROMETER FOR USE IN HIGH-TEMPERATURE THERMODYNAMICS, Monatshefte fuer Chemie, 124(11-12), 1993, pp. 1099-1106
A high temperature Knudsen cell was combined with a monopol mass spect
rometer model MX 7304 with the ion source 1560014-T01 (Electron, Ukrai
ne) despite the fact that these apparates have been designed for appli
cation in organic chemistry only. Relatively simple engineering detail
s, as well as an extremely careful electrical optimisation of the oper
ating conditions yielded a powerful measuring device for application i
n high temperature thermodynamics. Test measurements as well as the de
termination of the second law heats of sublimation of solid Fc, Co, Ni
, Cu and Cr proved the efficiency of the new device.
