Abstract
Reduction of C60 with rhodium(0) on alumina and hydrogen in deuterated benzene (C6D6) at ambient temperature and pressure yields a mixture o f hydrogenated compounds; C60H2 has been characterized as the major pr oduct in 14% yield based on H-1 NMR.
