Abstract
In this paper, the application of the Preisach model in measurements a nd field a computations is presented. A measurement set-up is configur ed that allows the direct identification of the Preisach distribution function. The technological aspects of the measurement are discussed. On the other hand, an implementation of the model in a 2D finite eleme nts software is performed. The results of the computations are compare d with the experiments.
