Abstract
An improved practical method of quantitative Kerr microscopy is demons trated. While in the original approach the sample was saturated to obt ain a calibration of the Kerr contrast, the calibration is now derived by assigning interactively the magnetization direction to regions of the image for which it is obvious. Then the rest of the image is accor dingly evaluated. Therefore only two complementary domain images are n eeded for quantitative magnetic microscopy.
