Abstract
-The jitter and the wobble of polygon motor used in a laser printer ar e important factors to control the printing quality. The rotor magnet used in the polygon motor was magnetized with three different magnetic field profile. For small values of jitter and wobble, the magnetic ne ld distribution of rotor magnet with square-wave is very suitable for the application of a polygon motor. For a 8-pole rotor magnet with max imum magnetic field strength about 1200 G, the average jitter and wobb le of the polygon motor are about 0.0149% and 13.02 arc-sec respective ly.
